SUBMISSION: THE KEY TO A MAN'S HEART. What of the Woman's?

SUBMISSION: THE KEY TO A MAN'S HEART. What of the Woman's?

The rumbling in my stomach and the calculations on how I was going to get my next meal, occupied my thoughts that saturday morning.

So engrossed in this thought that I didn't notice the phone ring for the first time. The second one and I rushed, hoping it was my saviour on the other end, until I heard her sobbing.

My antennas were already positioned trying to figure out what could be wrong. It was quite unusual for Kate.

She poured out her heart to me based on how she applied one of my relationship advice and like magic, buah, everything worked out and they finally got married. Don't ask me what just yet oh.

Everytime we get to see she and Emeka in gatherings, we use to admire them. Full of smiles. Hugs. Both seem to be watching out for each other. Cute couple!

Though her voice clothed with tears could not say much, she was letting me know that she barely has a voice in the union. Regardless of how thoughtful her opinion was, the man's decision stands. Sealed and stamped! Hmm!

For many men, they need a woman who can say YES to his every impulse, desires and commands.

You dare not say the contrary!

Any opposing view, and they quote the scripture as the guide, forgettting that it can be used also for( let me put that on hold for now).

Kontinu baba (In my friend's voice).😊

it's one head in the family. One boss. One King.

Who argues that?  What would the rest become nah? Help me out.🤔

This view arises from the fact that women are not complete, whole or independent before packing their load and saying "I DO" into  marriage.

They've quickly forgotten that just like them, women or ladies had their LIFE. Explosive! Fulfilling!! Exciting!!!

And marriage is not where everything ceases. No more!

You see, I'm not here to tell you not to demand submission from her. Isn't she your wife. Obum nkem? ( Is she mine?)

Rather I'm letting you know that for a robust and satisfying marriage, the submission is BOTH WAYS.

Recognizing the woman's personality and life is VITAL. Unless you want a machine, bikonu, go ahead.

She can submit to gain your heart, but is her heart fully in it?
it takes two to tangle you know.

P.S: For the lovers of scripture, if you clearly understand the verse " love your wife as Christ loves the church" in context eh, using how he related and was not bossy around his disciples ( friends, church), it would teach you things. He washed their feet too WILLINGLY.

It's a partnership sumfin broda.
