THURSDAY MOTIVATION
Could you believe I had it all figured out
But I messed up
I succumbed to the pressure
Twas hard for me to stand up
Dad said I was meant to be a lion that I should roar
But I really don't know why my voice faded out
Mom said I was meant to be an eagle that I should soar
But somewhere along the line I chickened out
Friends told me that the sky was big enough for all birds to fly
But no one told me that not all birds could fly
I should have known this from the start
I should have realised that not everyone is meant to be a king
Some are just pawns in this chess game of life
But a pawn can get to the end of the board and become a Queen
Keep trying
Am taking over,I don't know about you.
