When I look at the politics played in kogi today, I weep for the masses. Impersonal bias, prejudice are the undertone of Kogi politics. The rich keep getting richer while the poor getting poorer. Party sentiments have eaten deep into the system of every individuals to the extent that, we have forgotten the nature of development in our dear state.
Youths are the leaders of tomorrow but when they are old(not all but minority of the few). We keep fighting and killing ourselves over people who neither take the masses interests to be a paramount priority nor care about our well-being, people whose aim for attaining power is for self aggrandizement. the PDP, this parties constitutes the good personality of people who revolve round to solved our plight, unlike this APC parties who is brass on selfish interest and they remain political demagogues.
And this same people have been in different positions over years but can we account for one tangible achievement during their reign in power in kogi state No. We know politics is a game of interest but any politics that violates public good is enmical to development.
It pains me so much that these APC people have been deceiving our youths and we keep dancing to their tune. It is high time we reject the KOGIs definition of politics and focuse on public good which can only be achieved by good governance. The coming together of different old men with their propaganda to deceive the youths and the populace is so appalling. A situation whereby when Mr A no longer have an opportunity to fulfill his selfish interest in party A then he jumps to party B because there is an open floor to meet his selfish needs without any contributions directed to public good.
My stand is this, if we say it is APC that will change this country or take it to a state of Eldorado, it's a very huge, typical and a balanced lie. We need someone who genuinely yearn for the interest of the general public irrespective of the PLACE, TRIBE HE COME FROM.
Let KOGI youths and adults have a rethink and think of issues that affect them. I am but for the growth and development of my state Kogi.
