The African woman; an African descendant
Like the rainbow with beautiful flair
Raced with a glittering colored black skin
Her beauty ,glamouring to the black man’s heart
We extol the virtues of womanhood
This folks are with beautiful souls
Basking in the euphoria of motherhood
Her face cloaked by the shawl is innocence
For days she grows her child and delivers
Like the rabbit,she breeds children
The mother of every black child
From her milky womb, the black child feel reborn
The eye and pillar of her children
Even when her child sicks with an ailment
She visits the forest and makes the herbs for her child
Her children, she wouldn’t price for jewelries
A fiercely resilient black woman within
She feeds her children and her husband
No one knows the kitchen more than her
At mid night, she still feeds her husband
African wife, very submissive to her man
A woman that never nags, the pride of an African man
An epitome that holds the perfect virtues of a woman
Civilization wouldn’t erase her qualities
She loves her man to the heart
She cares for every day to day activities in the home
When the land is fertile, she plants
And harvest when the crop grows
From a distant,it’s startling to my view
When she carries her child at her back
Walking under the scorching sun
Traveling from home to the market to sell her harvest
It has become a ritual in the suburb of the westside
When I look beyond the horizon
I see a vigorous,never relenting African woman
Waving goodbye to the setting sun
Very loving to our walling hearts
Every black woman beholds an ethos of an African mother
Hail to the good deeds of the black woman living or dead
The memories, the legacy our hearts beholds
