POLITICS OF BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION RESPONSIBLE FOR BAD GOVERNANCE AND UNDERDEVELOPMENT


The PDP Gubernatorial Aspirant in the forthcoming Kogi State Governorship Election, Hon Zakari Alfa said, politics of bribery and corruption is responsible for bad governance and Underdevelopment of the state and urged the whole citizens to shun it to pay way for a disciplined environment and development.

Hon Zakari Alfa described bribery and corruption as an absolute dishonest attitude and behavior of someone in the society.He said, bribery and corruption is a great evil in the state of human politics. According to him, no state of the world can attain political success in terms of good governance and development if it is associated with bribery and corruption.

He said, bribery and corruption is an attribute of unpatriotic leadership and called for a Revolutionary Government. 

According to him, the only way to change the current scenario is through Political Revolution to revolutionize the governance system. Hon Zakari Alfa said, the time for the change is now and with him. He said, the unproductive components of bribery and corruption which killed the citizens and their prosperity include mismanagement of their finance through embezzlement and diversion for personal interest and depriving them of their constitutional rights through the act of nepotism, favouritism, sentimentalism and Godfatherism.

Hon Zakari Alfa said, the existing Vicious Cycle of bad leadership and political injustice are primary functions of bribery and corruption. He summarized it by saying that, bribery and corruption is planted by unpatriotic leadership, watered by sycophantic supporters and reaped by the entire society.

This he said, promotes political ignorance among the youths and affect their future political education. Hon Zakari Alfa said, if voted into power as Governor of Kogi state, his government will fight bribery and corruption to its logical end. This is a great HOPE for Kogi
