The Kogi state deputy governor, Simon Achuba should burry his head in shame for opening his mouth to vomit it out that Kogi state is under insecurity even when it is cleared to both the livings and the deads that, with GYB Kogi is in a save hands.
Where good governance is demanded, the deputy governor is in a position to proffer lasting solution to all the security challenges in the state but, the case of Achuba is the reverse. Yet he descended so low under the influence of his incapability to disregard the major and librating efforts GYB has put in place to secure the state.
It could be recalled vividly that, during Wada's administration, kidnapping was rampart in the state which made the state a no go area for people. Uncountable numbers of innocent citizens were kidnapped and the then governor could not stand to fight that. It went to the extent that, even the poor people were kidnapped and at some points loss their lives because of the absence of liberation means. One woman at opposite Federal Polytechnic Gate Idah was not left out of the kidnappees during that period.
Anybody that was used to Ugbabo and Itobe axis towards Lokoja can testify the state of the road then. It was abandoned like a forest reserve which serve as a host for the kidnappers without provision for security personnel but, when GYB came on board, he make sure the road is cleared and secured using his leadership wisdom and experiences.
Kogi East to be precised then, during Wada and Ibro's administrations, all banks close by 02:pm in order to safeguard the money and other valuable things against the robber and kidnappers. The incident of bank robbery claimed lots of lives including late Sule Rambo who came on a rescue mission. Afri Bank was closed down in Anyigba because of robbery, likewise intercontinental bank. But today, GYB has abolished such challenges and banks function effectively and freely without fear of any threat.
As we talk today, GYB has been recognized and awarded at the national level as the most insecurity fighting governor under APC government. And it is not hypothetical but an I saw to every kogite.
It is high time, kogi people and it's environ stop taking Achuba serious. For he is only finding mere lies and fallacies to get his lost cheap popularity.
GYB is doing it better and can never be compared to the administrations before him.
