DUTY CALLS

He's never been a war, it's a life epic
All I have had to worry about so far
The loss of life so far is catastrophic
All I have had to give a thought, so radical

Battlefield, the crawling home that dunks a coward
Where afterlife looks better than life
Where soldier is killed and warrior is cured
So how do I say this to my caring wife

It's not my wish to see you cry
It's not my decision to go, it's an order
The day may seems long, distressed and dry
But tomorrow's gonna decide it one way or another

From the depth of my brave mind
I make a promise of coming back home
Even if it seems to lag behind
I shall find my way back home

It was not long you returned from one, wife cried
Promise me you will come back, little dove sobs
Does your tears guarantee your coming back? Instinct lamented
But how do I say to them that it's not my wish but duty calls.
