THE GIRL CHILD

I am the girl child
Whose name was inscribed in the diary of misfortune
Whose life plan was architected at the age of thirteen
When my soul and body was sold to Alhaji musa for a lifeless promises
Alhaji is a rich man said the father that cares not
He will buy you the whole world and give you a better education, mama included
My eyeballs turned to a pool of tears in accepting this undesirable desire

I am the girl child
Who was unable to get the well needed protection to grow as a person
Who was forced to perform with a man, sexual acts the law forbids me to watch in movies
Who's being violated by the same people I have expected to give me the best of all protection
The same people who taught me to refrain those acts I have being asked to put a hand into

I am the girl child
Who's being smashed countlessly on bed with blood soaking my clothe
Who spennt all night in pain, giving it all to a man that is old enough to kiss a grave
Whose tasteless breasts were forcefully sucked with joy
I just did not give a little, I gave it all

I am the girl child
Whose body is lying at the river side
Alongside with poison that I used to paint my belly
Give this letter to my dad, who is expecting more of what has happened
Let my mother knows that I have been bountifully rewarded with untimely death
I think she will be proud of that
I am the girl child who had died countless time before the arrival of death.
